Times Announced for MSU Soccer in Denver

No. 7 Midwestern State squares off with host Regis (Colo.) for the South Central Region title Friday afternoon in the third round of the NCAA Division II playoffs. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. (Central Time).

The winner moves on to face winner of the West Region final between UC-San Diego and Simon Fraser (B.C.) which is also set for Friday at 11 a.m. (Central Time).

The national quarterfinal game is slated for 2 p.m. (Central Time).

All games will be played at the Regis Soccer and Lacrosse Pitch in Denver.

The Mustangs extended their unbeaten streak to 13 matches with a 1-0 win over Colorado Mines in the second round of the NCAA II Championships Sunday at the MSU Soccer Field.

MSU is now 12-6-3 all time in NCAA postseason play and is looking for its sixth Elite Eight showing as the Mustangs advanced to the national quarterfinals in 2002, 2003, 2007, 2008 and 2010 including trips to the Final Four in 2007 and 2010.

Midwestern is 7-5-2 in playoff matches played outside of Wichita Falls.
