Hope For The Holidays

Well it's that time of year when everyone gets into the cheerful mood.  The holidays are all about giving to others and there is one special way you can make a difference in the community.

The Nortex Texas Regional Planning Commission is hosting their 8th Annual Hope For The Holidays event.  Right now they are looking for help from the community for thermal clothing and gloves and hats.  With many people being homeless there is a need to help them stay warm during the winter season.

The organization helps those who are homeless to obtain forms of identification, such as a Social Security Card or a Drivers License.  Without any form of identification they are unable to get into housing.

So if you would like to make a donation, you can drop off items at the Nortex Regional Planning Commission, which is located at 4309 Old Jacksboro Highway or at the Wichita Falls Housing Authority located at 501 Webster Street.
