TX Dot Prepares for Winter Blast

The Texas Department of Transportation has been hard at work over the weekend with cleaning up operations going on all Friday night to provide motorists with safe road conditions.

As of 10:42 a.m. TexDot reports that roads north of 287 are starting to freeze over, including Bacon Switch northbound. TexDot also reports that Highways 10, 20, and 40 are either closed or delayed due to ice and wrecks.

All equipment and vehicles have been reloaded and are ready for the next round of tough weather conditions.

Employees are on stand by and will take to the streets as soon as they see a threat.
The agency is warning drivers to stay home if they can, or drive slowly if you need to be on the roads.
