City of Holliday Stage 3: Water Rationing

Effective Immediately the City of Holliday is implementing Stage 3 Water Rationing as outlined below:

Stage 3, 35% Reduction: Drought Emergency

No outside watering will be permitted between the hours of 10:00 a.m.
and 6:00 p.m.

No outside watering by spray irrigation will be permitted except
between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 5:00 a.m. for automatic
sprinkler systems, and between 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight for
hose-end sprinkler systems.

All businesses and residential customers who purchase water from the City of Holliday and are on the south side of Business 82/277 (Olive Street) will be permitted to water outdoors on Tuesday of each week. All business and residential customers who purchase water from the City of Holliday and are on the north side of Business 82/277 (Olive Street) will be permitted to water outdoors on Thursday of each week. Watering outdoors with an automatic sprinkler system or spray
irrigation will only be permitted on days specified above.

Watering will be permitted any other day of the week by soaker hoses, water cans, buckets (5 gallons or less), drip irrigation systems or hand held hose with positive shutoff. It shall be unlawful to operate a soaker hose, bubbler or drip irrigation system in a manner that causes water to run down the curb or street. The filling of swimming pools, wading pools and Jacuzzis will only be permitted on specified
watering days and times.

Watering livestock will be permitted any day of the week.

Surcharges – A water conservation surcharge will be applied to all water accounts during Stage 3 as follows:

$3.00 per 1000 gallons usage for 25000 gallons and up.
