The Electra City Counsel held a special meeting Tuesday night
The commission voted 5-0 to adopt the proposal that had it's 3rd and final public reading. The rates for residents inside city limits go up about $1 for the first 2,000 gallons and then more as water usage increases.
A new petition was expected to be talked about tonight at the meeting that calls for a change in the city's charter to hold commissioners more responsible for their action by voters. However, we were told the petition was not turned in early enough to be put on the agenda for tonight's meeting.
