High Speed Chase Arrest

Wichita County Sheriffs arrested a man who led them on a high speed chase through Wichita Falls Friday night.

Deputies on scene said they tried to pull 31 year old Doty Lee Standridge over for suspicion of drunk driving. But Standridge sped away, leading deputies on a high speed chase, reaching speeds up to 90 m.p.h.

The chase started on Wellington Road, and ended on I-44, where he abandoned his vehicle and ran from police. Deputies chased him down and took him in to custody shortly thereafter.

He has been charged with evading arrest, parole violation and possession of prohibited weapons.
