MSU's Conway Named Daktronics All American!

Midwestern State senior cornerback Neiko Conway was the lone Mustangs representative on the 2013 Daktronics Division II All-America Team announced Wednesday. The team is selected by Division II members of the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Conway, a 5-10, 185 pound senior from Houston, Texas/Lamar, was named second team All-America on the squad. He led the Lone Star Conference with five interceptions in 2013 and ranked 16th nationally with 0.5 pickoffs per game.

He also ranked fourth on the team with 48 total tackles (4.8 per game) and led the team with nine pass breakups.

Conway ended his career as number two on the MSU all-time interceptions list with 15, tops in the NCAA era, and set the school record for career interception return yardage at 362.

Conway is just the second cornerback to earn recognition on the Daktronics team. Micah Hill was selected to the Daktronics second team in 2009.

He helped MSU to a 7-3 season in 2013 led MSU to three postseason appearances in his four seasons.

The NCAA Division II Sports Information Directors Association All-America teams in football, men's soccer, women's soccer, women's volleyball, men's basketball, women's basketball, baseball and softball are sponsored by Daktronics, Inc., an acknowledged world leader in scoring, timing and programmable display systems for virtually every sport at every level of competition. The teams are voted on by the members of D2SIDA.
