Bike Donation

Many students at one elementary school in Wichita Falls got an early Christmas present on Thursday.

Academy Sports and Outdoors donated bikes and helmets to deserving students at Sam Houston Elementary School in Wichita Falls.  The bikes and helmets are given to students who have had good behavior, attendance and academic achievement.

Travis Barnes, Assistant Principal at Same Houston Elementary, said they received 15 bikes for girls and 15 bikes for the boys.  He said they will be giving five bikes for each grade level.  Barnes said the school and the students are very thankful for the generous donation.

It’s a great way to wrap up the week before they get their winter break.
