Prosecutors said a U.S. Army Soldier is charged with trying to sell explosive material that he stole following a field exercise at Fort Hood.

The Federal Criminal Complaint charging Tyler Glen Patrick with Possession and Transportation of Stolen Explosive Material was unsealed on Thursday.  The criminal complaint said the 23-year-old was arrested on Tuesday in Copperas Cove after trying to sell more than a pound of C-4 explosive.

Patrick remains in federal custody.  If convicted, he could face up to ten years in federal prison and a maximum of a $250,000.
