Death in Rollover Accident

Posted: Updated:
A Wichita Falls man is dead after his semi-truck rolled over and caught fire on Tuesday morning.

The accident happened just after 1:00a.m. on U.S. 283, two miles north of Vernon.  DPS Trooper Tony Fulton said police believe the driver, Rhodnee Fernandez, might have fallen asleep behind the wheel.  The 34-year-old ran of the road, which caused the truck to roll over on its right side and caught fire.  The truck was carrying crude oil.

Fernandez was pronounced dead at the scene.
