Wichita Falls Public Library Book Sale

The Wichita Falls Public Library hosted a book sale Saturday at two different locations.

The sale was held at the library on 11th street and the book warehouse on Grant Street.

"The money that we make selling books does right back to the library. The organization is supported 100 percent by volunteers. The book sell is very productive," said President of Friends with Wichita Falls Library Alan Martin.

"Both locations are full of books. It's a great opportunity," said Willie Bremer, member of Friends with Wichita Falls Library.

All items that were sold benefits the library's children's summer reading program.

Since the 1950's the Wichita County Mounted Patrol Rodeo brought in crowds from all across Texoma. After unexpectedly shutting down in 2011 due to financial issues it is coming back and better than ever. Former Steer Wrestling World Champion Mickey Gee told me there is nothing better than a Texas rodeo. The Wichita county native spent many years attending the WCMP Rodeo with his father and knew when the gates closed in 2011 he had to do something to bring it back.
