Counterfeit Operation Arrests

A counterfeit operation is out of business after SWAT, members of the Organized Crime Unit, and Interdiction Unit put two people behind bars.

Gary Wayne Maples and Audrey Morgan Clark were arrested Monday at the Motel 6, which is located in the 1200 block of Broad Street in downtown Wichita Falls.

Authorities seized a shotgun, ammunition, scales, two grams of meth, a large quantity of prescription pills and $950.  They also confiscated items that could be used in a counterfeiting operation by recovering fake identifications, checks, currency, printing equipment, and identification belonging to other people.

Maples, 35, is charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm, parole violation, and money laundering.  Clark, 25, is charged with probation violation.
