Wichita Falls City Council Meeting

Wichita Falls City Council approved several resolutions to help the Wichita Falls Municipal Airport Tuesday morning.

The resolutions allows the city manager to request over $2-million for airport improvement program projects/  Other resolutions approved changes to parking lots and a runway reconstruction project.  Total upgrades to the airport will cost close to $3-million, but the city will only pay ten percent.

The city council also accepted some funding for tobacco prevention.  The city is receiving three grants.  Two will be from the state and one will be from the county.

The grants total about $300,000.
