Carli Clifton Signs with NCTC Volleyball

Windthorst high school standout Carli Clifton signed to play college volleyball Tuesday!

She'll play at North Central Texas College, which sent two players to Midwestern State last season.

The 5'3" senior libero helped lead the Trojanettes to the State Championship game this season, in their first appearance in the State Tournament since 2008.

She led a strong backline for Windthorst that led them to a 36-9 final record.

Today she told us she was drawn to NCTC by its coach and her future team-mates there.

"I really love the coach," Clifton said. "She's so sweet, and she reminds me so much of Coach Wolf. She can be mean, but you know, she has her moments. She's a nice lady.

"I also met a lot of the team and they're really, they're really fun to be around. They were, you know, goofy and silly just like my team now. And they seem like they're really tight-knitted, and they're a good team.
