New Haven Road Attempted Burglary

Wichita Falls Police are investigating a an attempted burglary of a home in the 1400 block of New Haven Road.

Sergeant Bill Henning told Newschannel 6 it happened Tuesday night just before 10:00p.m.  

When authorities arrived on scene, only one person in the house.  That person told authorities there were three people inside the home when a man knocked on the door, forcefully made their way in to the home, and began assaulting the victims.

Police said there were shots fired during the altercation, and they recovered shell casings inside the home and on the street.  Police are still searching for the suspect, as well as the two other people inside the home at the time of the incident.

Authorities are unsure about the conditions of the two victims who left the scene. The victim inside the home was not injured.
