The Hower Family pledged to match up to $50,000 in new and increased gifts to Energy Outreach Colorado in October 2013 through the end of the year, and 2,169 qualifying donors contributed $336,000 in three months.

This is the sixth challenge grant the Hower Family Fund has extended to benefit Energy Outreach, a nonprofit that raises funds for energy bill payment assistance and energy efficiency programs for affordable housing and nonprofit facilities across Colorado.  In total, the Hower Family's grants have raised nearly $1.1 million for the organization.

"We greatly appreciate the Hower Family Fund's ongoing support of affordable home energy for Colorado's most financially vulnerable residents," said Skip Arnold, executive director at Energy Outreach Colorado.  "The Hower Family's generosity over the past several years has helped hundreds of seniors, families with children, and people living with special needs remain warm and safe in their homes."
