Henrietta's Wade Heading to Vernon College

Henrietta's Addison Wade signed to play at Vernon College Monday night in the Henrietta High School gym.

She was a two-time all-district 8-2A performer for the Ladycats, and helped lead Henrietta to five playoff wins over the past two seasons.

That includes a trip to the Region I-2A tournament this past November.

Monday she told Newschannel 6 she chose Vernon because of their coaching and tradition.

"Coach Tallman and Coach Booth made me feel so welcome, made me feel like I'm family," Wade said. "I know he can make me into a better player, so I'm really excited to be a part of their program, and they're real successful in winning."
