Two Mustangs Earn All America Honors

Midwestern State seniors Neiko Conway and Keidrick Jackson earned Don Hansen Football Gazette All-America mention as released Wednesday morning.

Conway, a senior lockdown cornerback from Houston, gained third-team honors.

The 5-10, 185-pounder logged 48 total tackles and led the team with an LSC-best five interceptions and nine pass breakups. Conway ended his career as No. 2 on MSU's all-time interceptions list with 15, which is the most since the program entered NCAA Division II in 1997.

He earned Daktronics second-team All-America accolades last fall and was twice named to the All-LSC squad, on the second team in 2011 and on the first team last fall.

Jackson, a 5-9, 210 pound senior from Arlington, Texas/Bowie, was an honorable mention pick after rushing for 1,177 yards with 15 touchdowns leading the Mustangs and the Lone Star Conference in both categories in 2013.

He became just the eighth player in Lone Star Conference history to rush for over 4,000 yards as he finished his career with 4,004 yards and was MSU's all-time leading scorer with 62 touchdowns and 372 points.

Jackson garnered AFCA All-America honors last fall after earning Daktronics All-South Central Region first-team accolades for the third straight season. He was a two-time All-LSC first-teamer and was the league's offensive back of the year following his senior campaign.

The duo played key roles in helping the Mustangs to postseason appearances in three of their four seasons at MSU. Conway and Jackson both saw significant playing time as freshmen in 2010 before growing into starting roles for each of the last three seasons.

Midwestern State notched its 14th consecutive winning season, finishing the year with a 7-3 mark.
