Benefit Planned For Homicide Victim

Posted: Updated:
The community is coming together to help the family of Lawton’s first two homicide victims of the year.

13-year-old Stefan Rushing and his father, Uwe Rushing were found shot in their home earlier this week after an apparent break in.

A group of Stafans classmates at Central Middle School plan on hosting a benefit to raise money for the rushing family.  The students involved said the murder was a shock, but has brought the school together.

The Benefit is being planned for February 1st from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the Great Plains Coliseum Annex.  A group of girls are calling it “The Rushing Angel’s Benefit” and it will be a talent show.

It will cost $5 to attend the benefit and there will be a raffle.
