House Fire Investigation

Lawton fire marshals are investigating a fire that caused more than 15-thousand dollars in damage.

Officials are unsure how the fire started Thursday in a home just northeast of the former Douglas Elementary School.

While they do believe it started in the kitchen fire officials say the damage is too severe to determine *how at this point.

The homeowner was not at the home at the time of the fire.
