Benefield Formally Sentenced

A judge has sentenced a Wichita Falls man found guilty of causing injuries that killed his four-month-old son and continuous violence against his wife.

Brent Benefield was back in the 30th District Court on Wednesday for his sentencing.  30th District Court Judge Bob Brotherton sentenced him to ten years in prison for Injury to a Child Causing Dead and five years for Continuous Violence Against Family, specifically his wife Sarah Price.  The sentences will be served at the same time.

On Tuesday the Jury recommended the sentence to Judge Brotherton.
