Murder Trial Moved To Fort Worth

Posted: Updated:
A Texoma man currently behind bars for murder, will have his second trial in a different location.

The murder trial for Justin Green has been moved to Fort Worth.  A mistrial was ruled in August 2013 when jurors couldn’t come up with a unanimous decision on a verdict.

Green admitted to killing Jose Ramirez in 2007, but said it was in self defense.  He met the victim while he was serving in Fort Sill.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Rangers found Ramirez’s remains in February 2012, buried in a shallow grave just southeast of Petrolia.

Green’s trial will begin on May 19th.
