Texoma Trio Honored by "DCTF" Magazine

Three Texoma football standouts were honored by "Dave Campbell's Texas Football" magazine Wednesday as members of its prestigious "All-Texas High School Team."

Rider Raider standout and Midwestern State commit Davon Allison was named as one of four first-team wide receivers on the team, which honors the best players at each position, throughout all classifications.

Essentially they said he was one of the four best receivers in all of Texas high school football this season, after he broke multiple Rider records held by NFL standout David Nelson.

Another Texoma star made the second team, as Graham's Bryce Reeves earned the honor, also as a receiver. He led Texoma in receptions this season with 81 in 15 games.

Maybe an even-more prestigious honor went to quarterback Mitchell Parsley of Crowell. He was named the co-Six Man Player of the Year by the magazine after leading the Wildcats to the Division-I State Championship.

Parsley, the only three-time winner of the Newschannel 6 Texas Ford Player of the Week award, threw for nearly 3,000 yards while completing nearly 75 percent of his passes and throwing 52 touchdowns in 2013.
