Manuel Daniel Jr. Guilty


A Jackson County jury is recommending an Altus man spend the rest of his life behind bars, without the possibility of parole.

Manuel Daniel Jr. was found guilty of first degree murder late Thursday night following six hours of jury deliberation.

During closing arguments, the prosecution said Daniel's actions after Melissa Bost's death proved his guilt, while the defense questioned the credibility of the eye-witness accounts of admitted drug users.
