Lawton Homicide Charges

Posted: Updated:

Four of the five suspects in Lawton's first two murders of the year are now facing formal charges.

18-year-old Thorsten Rushing, the relative of the two victims in this case, is charged with two counts of First Degree Murder and two counts of Conspiracy to Commit Murder.  19-year-old Ethan Thompson also faces two counts of First Degree Murder.  They are both being held on $5-million dollar bond.

18-year-olds Timothy Delahoy and Cody Davis are facing charges, including Conspiracy to Commit Murder and being an Accessory After the Fact.

Police believe the four teens had been planning the murders of Uwe and Stefan Rushing for months.  They said Thorsten Rushing was the one who pulled the trigger.  Thompson said he waited in a closet in the home for several hours the night before the murders, while Thorsten got his father's gun.  After the murders they shot at the wall to make it look like intruders shot at Thorsten before he called 9-1-1.

The 17-year-old suspect, who Thompson told police helped dispose of evidence, was in court on Friday  The state plans to try him as an adult.
