Fresh Produce Delivered to Those in Need

The Wichita Falls Area Food Bank delivered fresh fruits and vegetables to the West Lynwood Neighborhood Saturday morning.

Around 5,200 pounds of produce were passed out at the Solid Rock House of God on Maurine Street from 10 a.m. until supplies lasted.

"The main reason is because the community really wanted it. We were trying to get more produce out to our service area. About 170 families benefited today from the produce," said Wichita Falls Area Food Bank Nutrition and Service Director Jessica Morath.

This event was made possible by the West Lynwood Resident Council, North Texas Area United Way, Wichita Falls Area Food Bank, Wichita County Health Department and the Solid Rock House of God.
