Jury Selection Wraps Up Today

Jury selection is expected to finish today in the murder trial of a Lawton man.

Klayton Kitchens was in court on Monday as jury selection began.

Kitchens is accused in the shooting death of Christopher Moore, who was shot and killed in a parking lot last May.

Kitchens told police Moore stole a gun from him and they met so Moore could return it.

Once things heated up, Kitchens told police he shot Moore in self-defense out of fear for his life.

Prosecutors upped the charges from manslaughter to first-degree murder because they believe it was pre-meditated.

If found guilty, Kitchens could face life in prison.
