Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) February 12, 2014
Special needs school Cumberland Academy of Georgia was interviewed this week about the upcoming fundraising event on March 1, 2014. The Gala is an annual event for Cumberland, a school for Aspergers and other learning differences. The academy hosts the benefit to celebrate the school and the wonderful accomplishments of its students. The Gala will also raise capital for innovative projects within the school. The Gala also honors one individual outside the school community who has been instrumental in the growth of the school. This year, the Gala will honor Mr. James Ramseur.
The theme for the Gala is Red Carpet and is Hollywood inspired. The evening will include dinner, drinks and dancing and the event will be held at the school. Guests will enjoy a live and silent auction as well as games including blackjack and poker. All proceeds will be utilized by the academy in curriculum development and supportive technology for the special needs students.
Cumberland has one annual community fundraiser which enables us to provide the additional advancements that are needed to improve every year, said Debbi Scarborough, Founder of Cumberland Academy of Georgia. We are so grateful to the Red Carpet Gala committee and to the community for all the donations given to this event. The event is a first rate event and is a fun, festive event for our guests. Additionally, 85% of the Gala profits come directly back into Cumberland.
