Early Saturday morning, a man was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend with a deadly weapon. The man forced his girlfriend into his car at Fat Albert’s on Rhea Rd.

When Wichita Falls police arrived to the scene, the man had already gone home. Wichita Falls Police met the suspect at his home on the corner of Stonegate Dr. and Eldorado Dr.

After the suspect saw the police he tried to drive away, but hit a curb causing the airbag to deploy. The suspect then tried to run away on foot, but was soon caught by police moments later.

The suspect has been charged with evading arrest, driving while intoxicated and assault family violence.
