Cloud Seeding Vote

As the drought worsens in Texoma, Wichita Falls city leaders are continuing to look for options to help the situation.

City Council will be voting on a cloud seeding process on Tuesday, in hopes of increasing rain chances in the area.

In the cloud seeding process, a plane puts water and chemicals into the clouds so they will produce more rain.  The resolution would call for a maximum of $200,000 a year for the project.

Statistics show the process should increase rainfall, on average, by between ten and 15 percent.

Councilors are scheduled to meeting Tuesday morning at 8:3-a.m. in the Municipal Auditorium Building.

Newschannel 6 will be there to bring you any developments from the meeting.
