MSU's Kowalick Takes LSC Weekly Honors

Midwestern State's Colton Kowalick was selected as the Lone Star Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for his play in the Mustangs' spring season opening tournament.

The 6-3 sophomore from Wichita Falls/Rider placed second individually at the San Antonio Shootout at TPC San Antonio's AT&T Canyons Course by posting a 1-over-par 217 to finish three strokes back. He led the Mustangs to a third place finish as a team in the 15-team tournament.

Kowalick, playing in just his fourth career tournament for MSU, closed the Shootout by touring the par 72, 7,106-yard AT&T Canyons Course in 1-under 71, a career-best.

Joining the Kowalick is Angelo State senior Courtney Rutledge who was selected as the LSC's Women's Golfer of the Week.
