Searching For Suspect in Lawton Hotel Shooting

One man is dead after a shooting that occurred at a hotel in Lawton Friday night.  This is Lawtons 7thhomicide of the year.

Johnny Allen and a friend were staying at the Super 8 Hotel justwest of I-44 and Indian Trail Road.  Around 8:00p.m., a masked man armed with agun entered through the open door.  An altercation occurred after the victims refused tocomply with the suspect's orders.  During that time, one of the victims was shotmultiple times.

Lawton police believe it was a botched robbery attempt.

The victim was taken to Comanche County Memorial Hospital, but was pronounced dead around midnight Saturday morning.

The suspect is still on the loose.  He's described as ablack male, around 5'9" with a thin build wearing a scarf over his face.
