Rock Away Muscular Dystrophy

The Muscular Dystrophy Association held their “Rock Away MS” event Saturday morning.

The event was held at the Horizon Bay in Wichita Falls from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Participants grabbed a rocking chair and “rocked away” for one hour.

“It’s an event that is very important to muscular dystrophy patients. They get to have their friends and family get involved and spend the whole day with them. It helps support them and cheer them on while they’re doing what they can for a cause that is dear to their hearts,” said Muscular Dystrophy Association Sales Manager Katrina York.

Participants were able to enter in a talent show for $5, enjoy carnival games and satisfy their appetite with spiral fries, corn dogs and much more.

Proceeds raised through the event will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
