A Velma man will have to wait a little longer before going to trial.

Miles Bench is accused of murdering 16-year-old Braylee Henry.  It is believed that he brutally attacked and killed the teen at a convenience store in Velma.

Bench will not be on the April trial docket as originally scheduled.  Stephens County District Attorney Jason Hicks said it is likely Bench’s trial will be in August.

He is charged with First Degree Murder and the state is seeking the death penalty.
