Kickapoo Airport Safety Seminar

Texoma pilots and airplane enthusiasts attended a spring safety seminar Saturday morning at Kickapoo Airport.

The event kicked off at 8:30 a.m. and wrapped up at noon.


There were Federal Aviation Administration WINGS presentations, flight briefing and planning sessions and also an aerial scavenger hunt for participants to enjoy.

During the scavenger hunt, attendees focused on how to maintain basic situational and positional awareness, plan and identify ground features and answered questions about a route.

Participants did not need an airplane to participate. They also got the opportunity to ride along and navigate in an aircraft.
