Animal Services Launches Adoption Program

It was a big day for the Wichita Falls Animal Services on Friday.

They launched their new adoption program.

There is an overpopulation of stray animals out on the streets.  If those animals are brought to the Animal Services and haven’t been reclaimed by an owner, then they will become available for adoption.

If you are interested, the adoption fee is just $50, but you have to prove that you have made an appointment to have the animal spayed or neutered.

One administrator at Animal Services said they get 350 dogs and cats on average every month.  She explained the adoption programs gives the animal a second chance.

Animal Services will continue to partner with the Humane Society of Wichita County as well as rescue groups in order to place more dogs and cats into forever homes.
