W.F.P.D. Responds To Dog Bite Incident

Wichita Falls Police responded to a dog bite incident Wednesday morning.

It happened around 5:30 a.m. at Central Freeway and Red Fox.

Police say two dogs wouldn't let 50-year-old Steven Wayne Mitchell move. They also say one of the dogs bit Mitchell in the arm.

When the officers showed up, one of the dogs was laying at Mitchell's feet and the other dog went toward police. The officer backed up and called animal control. The dog laying at Mitchell's feet charged the officer. That officer fired a shot at the dogs. The dogs walked away.
