Honor Flight

Many Texoma veterans gathered at the Wichita Theater Thursday to celebrate and watch the documentary, Honor Flight.

World War II Veteran, Edmund Frodyma was one of the many veterans in attendance.

"It was a real good movie.  Some of the incidents were mentioned like Battle of the Bulge, D-Day, Normandy and stuff like that," said Frodyma.

Frodyma even had to chance to experience the Honor Flight.  The Honor Flight takes World War II vets to Washington, D.C. to visit their memorials.

"I went two weeks ago, on the first of the month.  It was beautiful.  When I got off the plane my granddaughter said, surprise grandpa," said Frodyma.

Frodyma's visit to the D.C. WW II memorials brought back many memories.

"Well, some of it hit the spot. I try to forget about it, I hope, but I don't," said Frodyma.

Frodyma plans to spend his Memorial Day remembering those who have fallen with other Texoma veterans.

There is a Wichita Falls Chapter within Honor Flight, Dallas-Fort Worth and they not only help veterans in the Falls, but also in Electra, Archer City, Vernon and other surrounding areas.
