Cloud Seeding Takes Place Twice Monday

Posted: Updated:
Gary Walker from SOAR tells Newschannel 6 that that cloud seeding did take place twice Monday.

Crews flew mostly over Baylor and Knox counties Monday morning. They went up into the air around 9:00 a.m. and flew for about an hour and a half.

23 flares were burned.  13 of the flares were salt and 10 were silver iodide.

Crews went up again just before 7:00 p.m. Monday night and flew mostly around Lake Kemp. 24 flares were burned.

Walker said clouds were not seedable near Lake Arrowhead and Lake Kickapoo Monday.
