Nighthawks Set for Regular-Season Opener

The Wichita Falls Nighthawks will open their first regular season in the Gridiron Development Football League Saturday night at 7:30 when they welcome Lone Star Division rival the Texas Eagles to Memorial Stadium.

Texas, based out of Weatherford, won the WMFL (World Minor Football League) championship in the fall of 2013 and are also in their first season in the GDFL.

Tickets are $10 and are available at the gate. Each ticket enters you into a drawing for a chance to win a cash prize, up to a million dollars!

Nighthawks rookie wide receiver Brandon Kelsey, a former star quarterback at Midwestern State, sat down with Newschannel 6 Friday to talk about the game and his move from the backfield to out wide.
