Holliday High School graduate Chris Sadberry was drafted in the 6th round, 167th overall by the Miami Marlins in Friday's Major League Baseball Draft!

The Texas Tech junior has compiled a record of 4-2 in 15 starts for the Red Raiders this season, with a 3.45 earned run average.

The lefty is expected to start Saturday at Rip Griffin Park, against the College of Charleston in Texas Tech's first-ever Super Regional game.

He helped lead the Eagles to the 2009 State Championship game in his junior season, and was twice named first-team all-state.

He signed with Louisiana Tech out of high school and spent two seasons with the Bulldogs before transferring to Grayson County College, then on to Texas Tech.
