Drought Watch: Olney Car Wash Open 5 Days

The City Council in Olney had water on their agenda Monday night.

The Council took a close look at the City's two water sources. They are looking at doing their own Water Reuse Project that would put gray water back into Lake Olney.  Councilors also approved closing the city's car wash for two days a week. It's the next step in their Stage 4 Water Restrictions.

"The car wash owners have been very, very easy to get along with and they're very good citizens and like I said, volunteering with the rule before the Council actually made it mandatory. So, they're good folks and good community people so they've done a good job since we've gone into the stage four water restrictions," said Olney City Administrator, Danny Parker.

Olney is like most Texoma cities that are working to save as much water as possible.
