MSU to Host Basketball Camps This, Next Week

Midwestern State University basketball will host youth camps for boys and girls over the next week.

The Men's Individual Skills Camp will run from June 12-15 (Thursday through Sunday) at the D.L. Ligon Coliseum. MSU's full coaching staff and players will be involved as coaches, and Head Coach Nelson Haggerty hinted at some surprise guests from MSU's storied past.

For ages 6-8, the camp will run from 9-11:45 a.m. Thursday through Saturday and 1-4 p.m. Sunday and costs $110 which includes a camp t-shirt and custom MSU basketball.

For ages 9-17 it will run 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. the first three days, and also 1-4 p.m. Sunday and will cost $185, also with a free t-shirt and basketball.

There is no deadline to register and walk-up registrations are welcome Thursday morning!

The Mustang women's coaching staff will also be hosting their own camp next week, from Monday through Thursday. The camp is for ages 6-11 and each day's sessions will run from 8 a.m. to noon.

Instructors will include Head Coach Noel Johnson, assistant coach Chris Reay, second assistant coach Ashley Rush and current MSU players.

The cost to attend is $120 per camper but for children of military members or groups of 10 or more kids, there is a $10 discount.
