United Way Day of Action - KAUZ-TV: Newschannel 6 Now | Wichita Falls, TX

United Way Day of Action

North Texas Area United Way will have a National Day of Action on Saturday, June 21. This year United Way is partnering with Adopt-a-box and Walmart to give students K-12 necessities.

They are looking for shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and deodorant. Volunteers will be at the Walmart on Lawrence Rd. and Central Freeway from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Adopt-a-Box program gives children the tools to start each day more confident and proud by providing them a shoe box stocked with personal hygiene items. Every day hundreds of children have to go to school without the benefits of personal grooming products.

You can help improve the education and health conditions of our community by participating during this call to action. Volunteers are also needed to collect donations during those days. For more information contact Alicia Christoff at (940)322-8638.
