Youth Works To Repair Community Homes

Posted: Updated:
Students and adults are serving the Wichita Falls community today, by helping families with home repairs. Faith Village Church, along with the city, have come together to help those in need.

Whether they are disabled, elderly, or just can’t afford necessary home repairs, 65 students and 25 adults are working hard to provide those repairs free of cost. Those out working today were scraping, painting and repairing different areas of the home.

“It’s been a hot and sunny day, but it’s really fun to come out and know you’re helping other people, and helping God,” Kelsey Wallace said, a member of the youth group.

Homes in all communities need help, but this group is trying to make a difference here, according to David Russell Youth and Family Minister for Faith Village Church. They will paint four homes, and seven yards will be tended to during this work camp.
