Nighthawks Looking to Bounce Back Saturday

Posted: Updated:
The Wichita Falls Nighthawks will be in a few unfamiliar situations Saturday night.

For one, they will be looking to rebound from a loss for the first time in team history. After a 38-34 loss at the Oklahoma Thunder last week, the Nighthawks will try to bounce back at 7:30 against the Oklahoma City Bounty Hunters.

That brings up another unfamiliar situation for the Nighthawks, as they will be looking up in the standings at an opponent for the first time. The Bounty Hunters are 3-0 in GDFL action, with wins over the Texas Eagles (51-18) and the Arkansas Assassins (35-0 in the first meeting, Arkansas forfeited the second).

The Nighthawks enter with a 2-1 record, with previous wins over Texas (33-6) and Dallas (24-20).

One not-so-unfamiliar situation Saturday night will be another vehicle giveaway, as the team will be raffling off a 2014 custom Jeep Wrangler. Every $10 ticket for the game will come with a raffle ticket, and 20 tickets will be drawn to come down at halftime. Each person will get a key and one of those keys will unlock the Jeep!
