Three people are believed to be involved in using counterfeit checks, but only one person is behind bars.
Paul Anthony Hamadi is charged with Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information.
An arrest affidavit said the checks look very similar to those of a Wichita Falls Church. Police said the first incident happened back in February when five check were forged. They came out to just over $2,000. Then in April a bank representative told authorities about another batch of checks that totaled just over $1,900.
