Fourth of July at Kell House

Step back in time with the Wichita County Heritage Society this 4th of July!  It's time to bring out your red, white, and blue as we honor America with the 30th Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration and "Most Patriotic Parade" on Friday, July 4th!

The festivities begin with an open registration for the "Most Patriotic Parade" at 8:15am at the Old Post Office Building at 801 8th Street (corner of 8th & Ohio).  Entry is free and 1st and 2nd Place Ribbons will be awarded in each of four categories:  Children 0-6, Children 7-12, Antique Car, and Specialty.

The parade will begin at 9:00am, winding its way from the Old Post Office along Ohio to 9th Street, and down to the historic Kell House Museum.

After the parade, the Kell House will host an old-fashioned salute to America, complete with the presentation of award winners.  Children As Thespians will perform live music and patriotic readings.  Then let the games begin!  A Cake Walk, Fishing Game, and Beanbag Toss are just some of the fun to be had on the Kell House grounds from 9:30am-12:00pm!
