July Sports Camp Information

Midwestern State Men's Basketball will host a Skill Camp this Sunday through Wednesday (July 20-23) for kids ages 6-8 and 9-17, at the D.L. Ligon Coliseum!

The camp for kids 6-8 is a half-day session and costs $110 per camper. Kids age 9-17 will have an all-day camp at the cost of $185.

The half-day sessions will be from 1-3:45 p.m. Sunday, then 9-11:45 a.m. Monday through Wednesday.

The all-day sessions will be from 1-6 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. the next three days.

For both camps, instruction will be provided by MSU's men's basketball coaching staff and current and former players, and the cost for both includes a camp t-shirt, end-of-week awards and a custom MSU basketball.

Older campers should bring their own lunch each day.

For more information, and to register, head to MustangBasketballCamps.com and look for "Individual Skills Camp 2."

Rider High School football is also hosting a camp at the end of July! The Rider Raider Youth Football Camp will run July 29-31 at the Rider HS football fields, at a cost of just $10 per camper.

It's open to kids entering the 3rd-through-8th grades and will feature former NFL and College players from Rider, along with the ROHO coaching staff. Camp will run from 6-8 p.m. each day.

To register, send your name, grade and t-shirt size to Head Coach Marc Bindel either by email at mabindel@wfisd.net or by texting (713) 208-2083.

Calling Davis’ retirement unusual may be an understatement, but it’s a much kinder term than his teammate Lorenzo Alexander used.
