6-Man All-Star Games This Week

Seven Texoma football players and six basketball players will take part in the Texas Six-Man Coaches Association All-Star Games this week in Wichita Falls.

In Friday night's Division II football game, five Texoma players will suit up at Memorial Stadium for the East team. Newcastle teammates Tyler Mays and Nathan Wilson will join Northside's Izzy Gomez, Harrold's Matt Templeton and a late addition, Gold-Burg's Timmy Metz. Kickoff is set for 7:30 Friday night.

Then, in Saturday afternoon's basketball games at D.L. Ligon Coliseum, three boys and three girls will hit the floor, all representing the East.

First up, in the Girls' game, Harrold's Madison Templeton, who is Matt's twin sister, joins Newcastle's Briane Camp and Northside's Blaire Wilkinson on the East team, which will be coached by Saint Jo's Glenn Boerger. That game is set for 1 p.m. under the dome.

Then, in the Boys' game, Bellevue's Brandt Cassidy joins Knox City's Zach Carter and Crowell's Diante Mitchell, while Knox City coach Josh Webb will be one of the assistant coaches. That game is scheduled to tip at 3 p.m.

Finally, in the Division I football game Saturday night at 7:30, a pair of Throckmorton Greyhound alums will suit up for the West team. Bryson Oliver joins former Newschannel 6 Player of the Week Trinity Haggard for the game.
